Equalizer, the world’s first dedicated DeFi flash loans platform, will deploy on Syscoin NEVM

Equalizer is the first and, so far, only platform that is specialized to handle an increasingly important aspect of the decentralized financial space, flash loans. It has been built from scratch to carry out this business in the most optimal way possible and trailblaze its own success by primarily focusing on services that have been relegated to secondary importance by would-be competitors. 

As another platform focused on unlocking the true potential of blockchain technology by offering unique solutions to complex problems, we at Syscoin feel that the Equalizer team are kindred spirits in this space, which is why we are happy to enter into a mutually beneficial relationship. Already running on some of the most well-known platforms, Equalizer will add the Syscoin NEVM to its repertoire after it is released in early December. Our two teams will continue to collaborate by jointly researching and developing the viability of ZK-Rollups.

What are flash loans?

In their own words, flash loans are a unique capability available only on the blockchain protocol and represent an uncollateralized loan option that has to be returned in the same block transaction.

Flash Loans enable you to borrow instantly and easily any amount, with no collateral needed, but only if that amount is returned to the vault within one transaction block.

If this does not happen, the whole transaction is reversed and undo the actions executed until that point. This guarantees the safety of the funds in the vaults.

The use-cases of flash loans include arbitrage, collateral swapping, rebalance, liquidation, and more.

Equalizer offers a governance token, EQZ, that is designed to help them further their DAO ambitions. It is currently being traded on Kucoin, Uniswap, and Pancakeswap
